The first time I looked at a map of the United States, some states instantly captured my heart. Among them was New Jersey — a place that, even from a distance, felt close to my soul. As I explored its streets through Google Maps, every turn and corner started to feel familiar, like I was reconnecting with something lost or waiting.
I’m a traveler, not by foot, but through the lens of maps and imagination. I’ve wandered snow-capped mountains, empty deserts, and bustling cities — all through Google Street View. It’s how I connect with the world.
But one place I return to again and again is New Jersey Rest Areas.

I know every rest stop in New Jersey like the back of my hand. Whether it’s a service plaza, scenic overlook, or a simple wayside rest area, I’ve explored each one virtually. Every day, I stop for a few minutes at one of these NJ highway rest areas, take a break, and move on — not physically, but with the same feeling as if I’m really there.
And every time I think: what if someone else is tired, in need of a break? What if I could help them?
That’s the reason this website exists.
Why I Built This Website
Today, travelers often struggle to find the nearest, safest, and cleanest rest areas while on the road. Which exit? Is it open? What facilities does it have? These questions often lead to missed stops and unnecessary stress.
I thought — why not build a site that doesn’t just show directions, but gives peace of mind too?
